Two injured in multi-vehicle crash on Everett to Nashua Turnpike

WILL TAKE PLACE NEXT THURSDAY. NEW THIS MORNING, STATE POLICE SAID DISTRACTION AND DRIVING DRIVING CONTRIBUTED TO A FIVE-VEHICLE CRASH THAT STOPPED PART OF EVERETT TURNPIKE IN, NASHUA, ON FRIDAY. OFFICIALS SAY IT HAPPENED AROUND 5.00PM NEAR EXIT FIVE AFTER A MERCEDES HIT TWO MOTORCYCLISTS. ONE OF THESE RIDERS WHO WAS THEN PUSHED INTO ANOTHER CAR, CAUSING THAT CAR TO CRASH INTO A VAN. BOTH MOTORCYCLISTS SUFFERED NON-LIFE-THREATENING INJURIES. NONE OF THE OTHERS

Two people injured in multi-vehicle crash on Everett to Nashua Turnpike

State police said it appears distracted driving was a factor in the crash involving five vehicles.

State police said it appears distracted driving contributed to a multi-vehicle crash that shut down a section of the Everett to Nashua Turnpike on Friday. The crash, involving five vehicles, happened around 5 p.m. on the south side at Exit 5. Soldiers said a Mercedes, driven by Vinicius Borges, 28, of Nashua, was hit by two motorcycles, pushing one of them in a Dodge Durango. The Durango then rammed a Chevrolet pickup truck. One of the motorcyclists, identified as Laurie Connelly, 28, of Nashua, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, state police said. The other motorcyclist was slightly injured. None of the other drivers were injured. Several lanes of the Everett Turnpike were closed for about an hour and a half.
