MILWAUKEE – A 16-year-old Milwaukee Burger King employee has died after someone apparently shot him through the drive-thru window.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Niesha Harris-Brazell was shot around 10:30 p.m. Sunday. She was taken to hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Police released surveillance footage on Monday showing the suspect leaning toward the drive-thru window of a Chevrolet Impala holding a gun. Investigators believe the shooting was part of a robbery.

The shooter is still on the run.

The suspect is described as a strong African-American male. He was last seen wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, beige pants and was armed with a handgun. Acting Mayor Cavalier Johnson called the shooting a “horrific tragedy”. He said Harris-Brazell appeared to be a hardworking teenager with a bright future.
