Theft of an Orleans Levee police vehicle

Members of the New Orleans Police Department are asking for the public’s help in locating a police vehicle marked Orleans Levee that was stolen on Saturday. The violation happened around 8 a.m. in the 6900 block of Franklin Avenue. The marked police vehicle is described as a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe, bearing Louisiana public plate 274608. The vehicle will have heavy front end damage and a missing passenger side mirror. Detectives are gathering information to identify the person(s) responsible. The Orléans parish dike council will not carry out any traffic stops on Saturday.
