The second annual five-star Chevrolet-Buick auto show will be held on Saturday, August 21 at the dealership at 212 S. Boone St. in South Aberdeen from 10 am to 2 pm.
In 2019, members of the Midnight Cruizers auto club were contacted by the dealership and agreed to host a car show for them, club advertising president Mike Myers said. Club members mounted the ad, helped park cars, and cooked burgers and hot dogs. This event closely followed Rod Fest in July, the club’s other annual auto show.
“The auto show was held at the dealership on August 17, 2019,†Myers said. “Trophies have been awarded. Raffles, dashboard plaques, music and a lunch were offered to all participants by the dealership manager. Four prizes, including two Seahawks tickets, were also drawn. “
During this first show, 61 cars took part. This year, Myers expects more.
“As before, trophies will be awarded,” he said. “Raffles, scoreboards, music and lunch will be provided to all participants by the dealership manager. Four prizes, again including two tickets for the Seahawks, will also be drawn. Cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome.
The first 100 visitors to the show will receive a car wash coupon. There is no charge to register a vehicle for the show. The first participant will receive two Seahawks tickets; the second prize is a lawn mower, the third prize is a full car detail, and the fourth is 20 car wash coupons.
