Michigan Brothers will appear on “Shark Tank”

Two brothers from Michigan will feature their company on the next episode of ABC’s “Shark Tank.”

The premise of the popular TV show is as follows,

Shark Tank is a nationwide search to discover the next successful (and possibly rich) entrepreneurs, inventors, businesspeople, creators and innovators. In each episode, budding entrepreneurs have an unprecedented chance to grow their business immediately.

Participants have the exciting and nerve-wracking opportunity to present their ideas to a panel of ‘sharks’. Sharks are super successful business people. All candidates need is a shark to bite – like wanting to invest in a candidate’s business. When multiple sharks compete to invest in a competitor’s business, things get really interesting.

Hopefully that will be the case for residents of Traverse City, Michigan, Garret and Dakota Porter. The brothers are the creators of ActionGlow. Since 2013, Garret and Dakota have been illuminating water, streets and trails with their exciting LED light kits.

Think of them as reflectors for outdoor sports enthusiasts. You wouldn’t jog or bike in the dark without reflectors, so why would you ski or wakeboard at night without ActionGlow?

Will the brothers be able to convince a shark to invest in AfterGlow? We’ll find out this Friday, November 18 at 8 p.m. when the show airs on ABC. According to The Ticker, Garrett and Dakota Porter have been rejected by the show three times. It was the brother’s last attempt to go on the air, and they did. Here’s to hoping that the fourth time is indeed the charm.

Get to know Garrett and Dakota by watching the video below. I will definitely be cheering them on this Friday night, I hope you will too.
