Hot rod classic cars, restoration workshop on display in 2022 Miss. Classic Cruisers Garage Tour
JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – If you like classic hot rod cars, the 2022 Mississippi Classic Cruisers Garage Tour is Saturday June 4th.
The tour begins at Brookhaven.
You can visit Dr. Ken Walley’s Garage in Brookhaven, Dennis Duncan Motorsports Garage in Terry, and Adam Strength’s Garage in Raymond.
The tour takes place in the parking lot of the Kroger grocery store located at 6745 South Siwell Road in Byram, departure at 8:00 am.
Visit stop #1: Dr. Ken Walley’s Garage, 479 Dunn Ratcliff Road, Brookhaven, MS
Ken, a retired orthodontist, is a Corvette Mid-Year (1963-1967) expert and owns eight of these desirable vehicles, including the “holy grail” of all Corvettes, a windowed fuel-injected coupe. 1963 split. He also owns his father’s original restored 1964 Chevrolet pickup and a very rare and documented 1967 Chevrolet Super Sport 427 Impala. Ken built his garage starting in 2014 and the first phase is 5400 square feet. Since a garage is never big enough, he added a second building in 2021 with 2,400 square feet.
Visit Stop #2: Dennis Duncan Motorsport Garage, 1325 Cassidy Road, Terry, MS
The Duncan Garage is a vehicle restoration shop and they have worked on all types of vehicles from the 1970s and 80s with go-karts, then moved to round track racers, and are now more of a restoration and hot rod manufacturing workshop. Currently in their shop, they are doing a frame swap on a 1949 Cadillac, building a 1964 Mustang resto-mod, building a 1931 Model A hot rod, 1966 Chevy Nova resto-mod, and a 1958 Chevy patina pickup. of 4800 square feet has a paint booth, an elevator, sheet metal tools and more. The Duncan Garage is definitely a garage worth checking out.
Visit Stop #3: The Adam Strength Garage, 10895 Midway Road, Raymond, MS
Adam Strength owns Strength Roofing and has been a car and hot rod guy for many years. His garage/workshop is 4000 square feet of heated and air conditioned space and also has a 2000 foot porch. Adam has been involved in track racing for some time, building cars for himself and his son. He is currently making rat rods and currently owns a number of these cars. The workshop has five bays and an elevator with many metalworking tools such as several welders, metal brakes and other metalworking tools.
