4 injured after an accident at Columbia; suspect hit police car

Four people were hospitalized Wednesday night after a man crashed into a police car and was then involved in an accident in Columbia after a short chase, Howard County police said. Three occupants of the Honda – two adults and a minor – were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital with serious injuries. The suspect was taken to Shock Trauma with serious injuries. An investigation is continuing and charges against the suspect are pending, police said. Northbound Snowden River Parkway was closed between Oakland Mills and McGaw Roads.
